2015 INTERNATIONAL DUBLIN LITERARY AWARD*
The International Dublin Literary Award, sponsored by Dublin City Council and administered by Dublin City Libraries, is presented annually for a novel written in English or translated into English. The Award promotes excellence in world literature and is unique in that libraries in major cities around the world submit the nominations (up to three novels each year per library). Over 400 library systems in 177 countries worldwide are invited to nominate books each year. Dublin City Libraries actively seek out and encourage nominations from countries who have not previously nominated books for the award; libraries interested in participating should contact the organizers for details. (Spread the word, folks! This is how we end up reading cool books in translation.)
